Over the years Mossgrove garden, Westerton Drive, has grown into a fantasy landscape, like Peter Pan’s Neverland. Peter and Sian, the owners, are keen gardeners and a little bit madcap [it is good to be imagnaitive and indeed adventurous!] At the foot of their garden once stood a red public telephone box but sadly this was removed when their children were still young. Upset by this the family wrote a story called “Wally Mint and the Wobbilisks” in which the telephone box featured heroically.

In more recent years Sian has maintained a Ladybird hunt on the surrounding curved wall of Mossgrove garden and young children visiting the Fountain playpark do seem to love this.

The most recent edition is Elmer, the patchwork elephant. Colourful Elmer can be found exactly where the red telephone box one stood. Perhaps he too has magical powers? Children and families alike might like to help Elmer in writing some fun stories of Bridge of Allan!
