If you have bought an ice cream or fish and chips from the Allan Water Cafe it is likely that you may have seen a heron at the old weir for the Inverallan Mill. The heron has long been a friend of Bridge of Allan! A number of years ago, when Makar for Stirling, Clive Wright wrote a poem about the heron. The poem was titled ‘Fish Supper’ from the book ‘Faces of the Rock’ by Clive Wright.
